Christophe Noblet selected for GLA constituency
The Liberal Democrats have chosen Earl’s Court campaigner Christophe Noblet to fight the West Central seat in next year’s Greater London Assembly elections.
The West Central constituency includes the Royal Borough of Kensington & Chelsea, as well as Hammersmith & Fulham and the City of Westminster.
The London Assembly has the power to scrutinise the Mayor of London on key policy areas including transport, policing, and planning.
A resident of Earl’s Court for nearly 20 years, Christophe knows that many residents feel let down by the Mayor, as well as by the Council. He will use his position as a candidate to raise the issues that are important to local people including lack of affordable housing, air pollution, and crime.
Christophe said: “It is an honour to be selected as a candidate for the GLA. I will to use this platform to draw more attention to the issues I know people here are facing. Residents here have been let down, especially when it comes to the ongoing problems of crime and anti-social behaviour. Being able to challenge the Mayor and the Metropolitan Police on their lack of action is vital.”
